Our Mission

MumBud exists for one reason: to make the fourth trimester feel a little less overwhelming. Every mum deserves to feel supported, comfortable, and like herself again — not just surviving, but actually living. We make recovery wearable.

FAQ

When can I start wearing the belly band after birth?

You can start wearing it from day one after a vaginal birth. After a C-section, most mums start at around 2 weeks once the initial tenderness settles — but always check with your midwife first. Every recovery is different.

Is it suitable after a C-section?

Yes — the band sits around your midsection and can be positioned to avoid direct pressure on your scar. Many of our customers specifically bought it for C-section recovery. If you're unsure, your midwife or GP can advise on timing.

Will it fit as my body changes week by week?

Absolutely. The adjustable velcro closure means you can loosen or tighten it as your body changes throughout recovery. No need to buy a different size as you progress.

Can I wear it under my clothes without it showing?

Yes — it sits flat and smooth under most clothing including fitted tops and dresses. Several of our customers have worn it under outfits for events and nobody could tell.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash in cold water or machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees. Lay flat to dry. Avoid tumble drying to keep the velcro and fabric in good shape for longer.
